England Team Selection Revealed: Bellingham and Foden Left Out, Saka Returns
Thomas Tuchel has opted to stick with the identical Three Lions selection that secured victory against Andorra and delivered an impressive performance in Serbia last month, finding no place for the Real Madrid star and Phil Foden in his group for the forthcoming exhibition match against Wales and the qualifying match in Latvia.
Despite Phil Foden pushing for a return to the squad after rediscovering his form at Manchester City, and Bellingham having made a comeback for Real Madrid following shoulder surgery, the national team manager has opted not to selecting two of the country's biggest attacking talents. The young midfielder has been in the starting lineup only once for his team since his comeback.
The England boss has made room for the Arsenal winger, who is fully recovered and has been reinstated in place of his injured club colleague Noni Madueke. The experienced attacker has not been handed a recall.

Tuchel highlighted the vibrancy in the previous selection and seems intent on maintaining the vibe. The Newcastle defender, who featured at left-back in the convincing victory in Belgrade, has been ruled out due to a knee injury. The manager has opted against selecting a like-for-like substitute for the Magpies star but has included the Manchester City defender, who had to pull out last month. He has spoken about the Manchester City defender's significance for England and has floated the idea of deploying him in the middle of the park.
There is no place for Adam Wharton, who was called up in the previous squad but withdrew injured and was substituted by the Milan player.
Tuchel said: “It was only three weeks since the last camp and the most recent victory, the latest display, so the question was why not bring the identical squad in because they set the standard. The focus now is on building routines out of it. We have unfortunately two injuries at the moment with Tino and Madueke and we bring of course Bukayo Saka in to take the place of Noni. Jarell Quansah was a last-minute addition last time; he will remain with the squad.”
